Out of the deadly Caribbean waters of the 17th Century, comes the true story of Jacquotte Delahaye, an orphan driven to piracy as a tender young girl. Later, to evade the law, Jacquotte faked her own death. But, upon being discovered, earned her treacherous moniker “Back From The Dead Red” stirring fear into the hearts of any who saw her fiery red hair at the helm. As deadly as she was beautiful, her legend continues to inspire many a buccaneer.

Tasting Notes

Buccaneer California Back From The Dead Red Blend is deep ruby in color and has intense red fruit aromas followed by flavors of raspberry, plum, currants and a hint of spice. The bold mouthfeel, velvety tannins and super-long finish add up to a spectacularly bold and balanced Buccaneer Back From The Dead Red Blend.

100% stainless steel fermented, oak-aged 18 months in 50% French and 50% American.

As wild and free as its namesake, Back From the Dead Red is a audaciously bold blend of Alexander Valley Cabernet, Hames Valley Cabernet, Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and Lodi Petite Sirah.
